Address Gun Violence in Cities: Obama and Biden would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade. Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals. They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent.

We knew it was coming, at least now they have it posted as fact.

Well it was posted. Then removed. Then reposted. Then removed. Now its back. I'm not sure if the wording is identical in all the various forms from his various websites, but the current wording makes it pretty clear. We are in for a whole bunch of 'common nonsense' gun laws from this new administration.

This is not good everyone. I said it all along, that they would come after us, even though I wanted to believe the crowd that said Obama "had bigger fish to fry" than coming after our right to own an AR-15 or buy a magazine that holds more than 10 rounds. No, this is not good...:(

Wow. Talk about a one-term presidency!

I like this one:

Cap Outlandish Interest Rates on Payday Loans and Improve Disclosure: In the wake of reports that some service members were paying 800 percent interest on payday loans, the U.S. Congress took bipartisan action to limit interest rates charged to service members to 36 percent. Barack Obama and Joe Biden believe that we must extend this protection to all Americans, because predatory lending continues to be a major problem for low and middle income families alike.

Not once did they actually look into WHY service members were using payday loan services. Not once did they look at perhaps having DFAS provide such services. Not once did they think about serious pay increases for service members.
To them the answer is always more, more, more legislation is needed to ban, cap, or outlaw something. Morons.

Capping interest rates at 36%! Thank goodness Obama/Biden are looking out for our servicemen and women and stopping predatory lending!

Capping interest rates at 36%!
Oh for the good old days. Anyone else remember interest rates under Jimmy Carter? :(

I think it was the early 80's and one of my neighbors got a new mortgage loan for 21%, that was the going rate at that time and they thought they were lucky to get it. Only capped at 36%? Maybe he will do some "favors" like that for me. Like maybe get to keep my revolvers IF I turn in all my "other" guns. "We're from the govt and we're here to help."
