Does anyone use this press and if so how easy is it to use to reload 12 ga.? and can you reload steel shot and slugs?

I have used one. You honestly would be better served with a Mec. Much smoother operation.

Chad any idea what the price difference is between the two?

I bought one in 20 ga because of the fact I don't load nearly as many 20's as 12's. It makes a pretty nice load if you go slow. I have since bought a Mec 600 for my 20 ga reloads and it is a much sturdier machine. A new Lee is about $35 and a new Mec is about $135.

I have a like new 20 ga Lee that I would sell.

I know that I am new and do not deserve much consideration here, but the real reason I joined is to try to find out why the inventories at most of the gun dealers are out of stock on the Superior ll 20 ga semi auto shotgun CDGK4106. Is there a new shipment due in shortly or is it going to be a while?

Thank you

Welcome yelp543 to CD. Any info on reloading equipment is always welcome. My standard answer to a lot of questions is to call CD Customer Service at 866-DalySvc M-F 8-4:30 PM. MR K is rather busy lately and really doesn't have time to answer all posts anymore, even though he tries. I really wish all the new people would explain where they got their sign in name. Some of them, I couldn't even try to guess.

yelp, welcome to the CD Forum! All questions and comments are welcome here, whether from someone new and just starting out or from the more experienced among us. I think you will find plenty of good members here that are willing to help.

As for the Superior II semi-autos, I can tell you that most dealers don't inventory the walnut stocked guns like they used to. The majority of the market today is for less expensive guns and one of the easiest ways to cut the price of a shotgun is to use synthetic stocks instead of nice walnut.

We are currently sold out of 20 gauge Superior II's but we do expect a new shipment in about 45-60 days. I do see a 26" barreled gun in stock on galleryofguns.com (CDGK4137), but I think most of our wholesalers are sold out of the 28" model. (You could have your FFL check one other distributor to see if they have any remaining and that is Sports South. Your FFL will know them.) If you must have the 28" and Sports South is sold out then I'm afraid you will have to wait another 2 months, at most.

Again, thank you for your interest in CD shotguns and don't worry about being a rookie here.

Sincerely,

Thanks MR K. I stand corrected(as opposed to sitting) MR K actually found time to read more posts. But there's a rumor going around lately, that he now sleeps at his desk and his family hasn't seen him in weeks. Like I said, just a rumor.

Thank you Mr. President

I couldn't have asked for a more clear answer than that. That brings the new inventory in just about Christmas time. Now can you tell me how I can convince the grandkids that they must sacrifice enough for me to buy the new gun.

Just tell them that Grandpa is buying something that will be a family heirloom to be passed onto them someday.

Of course, you'll have to get 1 for each grandchild!!!:D
