Been a CD shooter since 1971. Bought a 12 Ga Superior Grade O/U in Yokosuka, Japan on my way back from Vietnam. Shot it A LOT, but kicked more than I liked! In 1998, got the bug to shoot serious sporting clays. Sent the barrels to Seminole Gunworks and had forcing cones lenghtened, barrels back bored and ported, and custom chokes made. Also had a Kick Eez sporting clays pad installed. What a difference! Shoots like a 20... mostly, I believe, due to the long forcing cones. And spot-on, dead center alignment. Now if I could shoot more or own a lead mine... Anyone on the forum shooting at WW Sporting Clays in Jacksonville, or Coon Bay Country Club in Hollister? Great to finally be in good CD company!!

Welcome to the Charles Daly forums prefsnider !!!!!!!!!!
We are always looking for some experienced shooters to join our ranks, to teach us novices what we need to learn.
Show us some pics of that custom shotgun!

Welcome Prefsnider. Good to have an experienced shotgunner abroad. Thanks for your service in Vietnam-glad you made it back. That's the year I went into the AF-stayed CONUS. Look forward to your experiences.

Hi,
I am in Jax as well. I have yet to make it out to WW yet but I will go at the drop of a hat should I find a partner in crime!

Welcome to the CD Forum prefsnider! I'm guessing that CD you have was made by Miroku. They were excellent guns, now known as the Browning Citori!
Enjoy your time here. We have a great group of CD fans that is growing every day.

Thx for the great welcome! I'll post a few jpeg's of the "doctored up" 12 ga in the near future. Hey Go Blue! Sorry for your affiliation with Ann Arbor (my brother-in-law graduated from UofMI a while back, and me, I'm a Nittany Lion Alum, '81). Anyway, email me and we'll go break a few once Fay goes by. It's been a few years since I've shot so don't be concerned about scores... my golf game is no better! Again, thx for the warm welcome!! Pete

Jacksonville has not had a direct hit from a hurrican in about 100 years. I guess this is about to change!

and I always thought they'd be in deep crap if they did get hit. Good thing this one will be a cat 1 at most.

Yes, it is a Miroku. Fine shotgun. Goes with my Citori 20 ga.
