I will first say that I have had my Field Hunter VR-MC for quite a few years and am very happy. I have put 1000's of rounds through it a year for as long as I have had it, but from the day I bought it I have had two issues with the gun.

Ok, first issue I am having is a misfire. Happens about once every 20-40 shells. Doesn't seem to make any difference whether I use cheap/expensive ammo, steel/lead/tungsten shot, 2-3/4 or 3" shells. It also does not seem to be a cleaning issue although I am not positive I am cleaning the gun thoroughly after reading the "Smooth as Silk" article.

Second issue is about once every 50 shots or so, I have a live round fall out the bottom of the receiver. In other words if I put three rounds into the gun, fire the first one, the second one falls out the bottom of the receiver and the third round remains in the holding tube.

Any suggestions/recommendations on either issue would be great.

Thanks for the contact information. I will give them a call in a few minutes to see if they can give me some direction. Hopefully they don't "break my bank account".

Hey, thanks for all the info - UPS is picking up my gun in a couple days. Good thing I have another one in case this one doesn't get back in my hands before bird season. ;) :D

I wish I had known this eight years ago when the gun started acting up. Gun should be shipped out this week - bird hunting season starts October 1st up here in Maine. I attached an envelope to the box letting them know the two issues and I will add a note that asks to have it returned by October 1st.
