A big Texas howdy from locoduck!! I made my way over here from the ShotgunWorld site. I'm still researching shotguns for the purchase of my first semi-auto in 20 gauge. As many others I'm working with a limited budget and am trying to find the best autoloader for $500 or less, and there aren't very many to choose from. I like the Superior II, but I have noticed that the finish on these guns changed from a high gloss finish to an oil finish this year which I much prefer. The question I have is, are the new oil finished models available yet from distributors and dealers? If not, when can they be expected to hit the shelves?
Many thanks and I look forward to spending time on this informative site.

Welcome to the CD Forum locoduck! THe CD Superior II is the 20 ga semi-auto you're looking for. Most of the distributors will have the new oil finish model in stock by now. I suggest you go ahead and have your FFL order one from one of our distributors and if it arrives and is not oil finish, call us (toll free) at 866-DalyGun and we will arrange to exchange it for you with the freight charges for our account.
The other alternative would be to have your FFL order one directly from us. You could call Sean, our Sales Manager, and he can check the stock for you. (He would also know which distributors have an oil finished model if we don't.)
Either way, maybe the best thing to do is call Sean (toll free) at 866-DalyGun and we will figure a way to get you what you want.
We aim to please! Pun intended...:)

A big Washington Howdy back at ya!! Just purchased the Field Hunter 12g a couple weeks ago. So far I have put 125 rounds through 'er and cycled excellent. I aslo considered the Superior, but I didn't want such a pretty gun nicked or scrathed while in the blind. In fact, I have the Superior II as my background on my computer. Good to have another CD dude around:beercheer:

Thanks for the great info Head Honcho!! I have to tell ya, I'm very impressed with what you folks are doing here at CD (KBI). By all accounts your dedication to customer services thrusts you far ahead of the competition who have apparently become rather complacent (read fat and happy) with the their places in the firearm mfg. world and take most of their customers for granted. There are still a few good ones out there. Mark DeHaan and the good folks at Ruger to name a couple. If CD(KBI) continues to deliver quality goods and customer services that are well within the reach of the average working man, your business will grow faster than you can imagine.
Thanks again for the info on the Superior II. I will be contacting Sean in the very near future.
Kind regards,
